Generosity of Kamloops cannabis users leaves the rest of B.C. green with envy

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops cannabis users are the most generous in B.C.

That’s according to the B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch in a report on recent fundraising efforts for the Canadian Red Cross relief effort in Ukraine.

Government liquor and cannabis stores collected donations for the Red Cross’ Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal between February 28 and April 24, totalling $1,081,272.98.

The B.C. Cannabis Store in the Columbia Place shopping centre in Sahali was the top fundraising cannabis store in the province, collecting $7,107 for the effort. Cannabis stores in Cranbrook and Port Coquitlam came in second and third, respectively.

The top fundraising B.C. Liquor Store in the province was in Langley, raising more than $35,000.
