Weapons and drugs seized from cargo van after downtown Kamloops vehicle check

KAMLOOPS — A stun gun, fighting axe, knives, and small containers of drugs were seized from a cargo van on Columbia Street Tuesday night (May 10).
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP say an officer parked near Fourth Avenue at around 7 p.m. observed a cargo van being driver by a woman suspected to be a prohibited driver.
Cst. Crystal Evelyn says the woman was arrested for driving while suspended. The van was impounded for seven days, and the drugs and weapons were destroyed.
