LYTTON, B.C. — A Vancouver-based production company that’s filming a documentary about the Lytton Wildfires and the stories of people who have lost their homes is organizing a community event for the Village.

Wallop Film says it’s looking to bring Lytton residents together to honour their resilience on Friday (May 13). The production company says its crew is raising funds to cover the costs.

The documentary Home is a story about Lytton surpassed Canada’s highest temperature ever recorded before being destroyed in a wildfire two days later on June 30, 2021. Wallop Film says its crew talked to three Lyttonites about how the spirit of a place can live on through the people who share its story.

Wallop Film says Home will be on The Guardian’s online documentary channel, and be eligible for festival runs and other screenings.
