KAMLOOPS — A possible gun sighting led Kamloops RCMP to arrest a wanted woman this week.
In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called to a store in the 400-block of Lansdowne Street Tuesday (May 10) for the report of an apparently intoxicated woman with a suspected handgun in her bag.
Evelyn says it turned out to be a BB gun.
“Police arrested the woman without incident, at which point they located a realistic looking BB gun pistol, a knife and drugs, all of which were seized,” said Evelyn. “Police checks revealed the woman was also wanted on a warrant related to numerous firearms offences.”
