Four arrested after BB gun assault in Merritt

MERRITT B.C. — Merritt RCMP arrested four suspects after a BB gun assault put a man in hospital on Monday (May 9).
Police say they responded to Nicola Valley Hospital for a report of a man who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the arms, body and face with a BB gun. RCMP say it’s alleged the man had been at a residence in the 2700-block of Clapperton Avenue when he was held down and shot multiple times by some of the occupants.
Cst. Jon Puterbough says the BB gun shooting is believed to be targeted as the victim and suspects were know to each other.
