Clearwater emergency room to close during overnight hours this weekend

CLEARWATER, B.C. — The Clearwater emergency department will be closed overnights this weekend.
In a news release, Interior Health notes the ER at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital will be closed between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. for three consecutive days, starting Friday (May 6).
IH says the closure is due to unforeseen limited staffing availability.
Residents in need of emergency care are still encouraged to dial 9-1-1 or visit the emergency department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
