Cariboo Place in Williams Lake has COVID-19 outbreak; Hamlets outbreak up to 64 cases

KAMLOOPS — As a COVID-19 outbreak in a Kamloops long-term care facility nears the one-month mark, another outbreak has popped up in Williams Lake.
Interior Health says a COVID-19 outbreak was called Wednesday (May 4) at Cariboo Place in Williams Lake. There are 10 cases associated with the outbreak as of Friday.
At the Hamlets in Westsyde, there are now 64 cases associated with an outbreak that was first called on April 7.
There are 10 outbreaks in total in Interior Health, with two in Kelowna, two in Penticton, three in Vernon and one in Fernie.
