Merritt RCMP look to reunite lost ring with owner
MERRITT, B.C. — RCMP in Merritt would like to reunite a ring they found with its rightful owner.
The ring was discovered by a Merritt RCMP employee behind some furniture in the detachment’s fingerprint room.
In a news release, spokesperson Sgt. Josh Roda says the ring “appears to be of significant value” and officers have no idea how long it had been there. Roda says it may belong to someone who had been fingerprinted at the detachment.
“For obvious reasons, we cannot share a description or photo of the ring,” said Roda. “We are hopeful the owner will see this release and be able to provide a description and timeline of when they may have lost it.”
