Kamloops man among four killed in Ontario plane crash
SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONTARIO — A Kamloops man was killed on board a plane in Ontario while riding with a gangster wanted for murder in Thailand.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a plane crash that killed four people in northwest Ontario on Saturday (April 30).
An aircraft was reported overdue on Saturday, prompting a search by the local search and rescue teams and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. The wreckage was located and the OPP took over the investigation.
Found in the wreckage was Duncan Bailey, a 37-year-old man from Kamloops. Gene Lahrkamp of Kincardine, Ontario and the pilot, Abhinav Handa, of Richmond B.C. were also found in the wreckage. The name of the fourth victim has not yet been released.
