Three-hectare wildfire ignites in Anglemont

ANGLEMONT, B.C. — The BC Wildfire Service was alerted to the Shuswap yesterday (Apr. 28) for a wildfire in the Anglemont area.
In an update this morning (Apr. 29), the wildfire service says the Horseshoe Bay fire is currently three hectares in size, and classified as out of control.
A helicopter was actioning the fire last night, with personnel monitoring the scene overnight. Today, there will be 20 personnel members on scene to support the Anglemont Fire Department.
BC Wildfire says smoke may be visible to the surrounding area throughout the day.
