Shuswap wildfire up to 15 hectares: B.C. Wildfire Service

ANGLEMONT, B.C. — A fire that broke out Thursday evening (Apr. 28) near Anglemont in the North Shuswap has grown.
According to the B.C. Wildfire Service, the Horseshoe Bay fire is now mapped at 15.73 hectares, as of Friday afternoon.
The fire is still listed as out of control and is believed to be human-caused.
Earlier in the day, the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District said no structures were at risk and the fire was displaying Rank 1 and Rank 2 behaviour, meaning it is not spreading very quickly.
