Lady Gaga Announces Next Single

Lady Gaga has announced that “Hold My Hand” will be her next single. It’s from the upcoming movie, Top Gun: Maverick.

In a tweet, she described the song as a love letter to the world during and after a very hard time. She posted: “When I wrote this song for Top Gun: Maverick, I didn’t even realize the multiple layers it spanned across the film’s heart, my own psyche, and the nature of the world we’ve been living in. I’ve been working on it for years, perfecting it, trying to make it ours.”

“Hold My Hand” marks her return to writing and producing original music for film. Her success of 2018’s A Star is Born soundtrack earned Gaga an Academy Award, four Grammys, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Critics’ Choice Award.

She composed and recorded it specifically for the movie. The song will be released on May 2 and the movie will be in theatres on May 27^th.
