KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers are now up 2-0 in their first-round playoff series against the Spokane Chiefs with a 6-2 win.

In the win, Saturday (April 23), Blazers goalie Dylan Garand secured the second playoff win of his career stopping 21 of the 23 Chiefs shots.

With nearly 4,000 fans in attendance for the second game of the Blazers’ three-game homestand, Luke Toporowski made his presence known once again by scoring two goals.

Toporowski was recently injured and had not played from March 11 to April 22. In his two games played since returning, Toporowski has 4 goals and two assists.

Fraser Minten added a goal and an assist in the win while Matthew Seminoff, Daylan Kuefler, and Connor Levis had the other Blazer goals.

Kamloops seemed to control the shots as the Chiefs were outshot 37-23.
