City of Kamloops searching for input on social issues
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is looking for two people to share their ideas on social issues in the community and help form the city’s Social Plan.
There are currently two openings on the Social Plan Engagement Group which meets monthly to make recommendations and provide input on a variety of social planning and community well-being initiatives. The successful candidates will serve a two-year term.
The group consists of city staff and nine representatives from the public and supports the Community Services Committee, chaired by Councillor Dale Bass.
The City said to enhance current membership they encourage candidates from the business, trades and health care industries to apply. They are searching for applications from those outside the social service industry.
