Two dead in Adams Lake fire

ADAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP are investigating a structure fire that killed two people on the Adams Lake reserve Friday night (Apr. 8).

According to Chase RCMP, emergency responders rushed to the scene at 11:46 p.m. Friday, finding a structure fully engulfed in flames.

After the fire was extinguished, human remains were discovered.

On behalf of the family, the Adams Lake First Nation distributed information identifying the victims as Kyle Phelps and his partner Nikki Mueller.

RCMP say the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but there is no evidence as yet to indicate it was suspicious.
