KAMLOOPS — Tickets for the 2022 Y Dream Home are now on sale, and if you don’t have your ticket yet, you probably should get on it with last year’s selling in two days.

Tickets for the home in Tobiano went live at 9 a.m. on Monday morning, as people try to secure theirs early. After tickets sold out in 52 hours last year, organizers are expecting ticket sales to be brisk once again.

“This year, we have more tickets and the momentum has been very brisk already,” said Y Dream Home spokesperson Bryce Herman. “We went live at nine o’clock. The site is stable, everything is working really well. Our new ticket vendor has done an amazing job of stabilizing everything for us, and it’s working flawlessly.”

The number of tickets have doubled from last year to 35,000 with 2,800 value packs (14,000 total tickets) of five tickets for $400.

The 50/50 has also doubled, going from $1 million pot last year to potentially $2 million this year with winner getting half. Already, the 50/50 draw is doing well.

“The 50/50 draw is tracking right now at well over $1,000 per minute, so it’s tracking very quickly,” said Herman. “I expect this lottery is going to sell out, like the ones in the past, but right now we still have some value packs. They are still available, although they are going to be the first to go.”

Tickets can be purchase here — one ticket for $100 or the value pack of five tickets for $400.

The draw for the Y Dream Home in Tobiano will take place on June 28 at 9 a.m. at the home at 362 Rue Chavel Noir.

All the proceeds from the draw go towards programs at the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA.
