Lions preparing for training camp in Kamloops; Fan Fest returns
KAMLOOPS — In exactly a month, the B.C. Lions will return to Hillside Stadium to prepare for another season.
For a 12th year in a row, the Leos are back in Kamloops for training camp, which begins May 11 with rookies taking the field. The veterans report three days later on May 14.
“Our organization is thrilled for the opportunity to head back to Kamloops once again,” said Lions co-GM/director of football operations Neil McEvoy in a release. “Since establishing the Tournament Capital as our training camp home back in 2010, we have been provided world class football facilities and been given outstanding hospitality for our players, coaches and entire staff.”
After a two-year hiatus, including the cancelled 2020 season, the Lions’ Fan Fest returns to Hillside Stadium on Saturday, May 21.
