Wildfire Service to conduct burn south of Lytton Thursday

LYTTON, B.C. — The B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) has a prescribed burn planned for outside of Lytton Thursday (Apr. 7).
The burn will take place on a five-hectare section of land south of the village, adjacent to the Trans Canada Highway.
BCWS says smoke and flames will be seen in Lytton, Lytton First Nation, Kumsheen Rafting Resort, Skuppah First Nation, Siska First Nation, Highway 1 and Highway 12.
The planned burn will take care of an accumulation of combustible material.
