COVID-19: Hospitalization, ICU patient totals steady Wednesday

VICTORIA — In its latest COVID-19 surveillance report issued Wednesday (Apr. 6), B.C.’s Ministry of Health is showing 329 people in hospital with the virus, a decrease of five from Tuesday.

The ministry says there are 37 people in intensive care with COVID-19, up by two.

The province received 216 new positive test reports Wednesday, including 76 from Interior Health.

There are 11 healthcare facility outbreaks in B.C., including Overlander Residential Care in Kamloops.

• Second dose — age five or older: 87.5 per cent
• Third dose — age 12 or older: 57.8 per cent

The province says those not fully vaccinated account for about 12 per cent of B.C.’s population, but 19 per cent of critical care patients in hospital.
