Man dies after crash on Highway 5 north of Rayleigh

KAMLOOPS — A Kelowna man in his 50s passed away after he was involved in a crash on the Yellowhead Highway north of Rayleigh Sunday (April 3) evening.

Kamloops RCMP were called to the 6000-block of the highway at around 6:00 p.m. after a vehicle left the roadway and crashed, ejecting the man, who was the driver and sole occupant. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead shortly after.

Kamloops RCMP Traffic Services are investigating the cause of the crash while the BC Coroner’s Service are conducting a concurrent investigation.
