Ashcroft woman planning two tropical vacations after $500,000 win

ASHCROFT, B.C. — An Ashcroft woman can cross off not one, but two tropical vacations on her bucket list after winning the $500,000 Extra prize from the Lotto 6/49 draw on March 23.

Mary Jobling was shocked to find out that she matched four out of four Extra numbers from the ticket she purchased at IDA Pharmacy on Railway Avenue.

“I will celebrate in Mexico but the first destination on my list is a trip to Hawaii,” she says. “I validated the ticket at the same place I purchased it and was in disbelief when it locked down their machine. I kept thinking, ‘Now I can go to Mexico.’”

In addition to her beach vacations, Jobling plans to tell her kids the exciting news and looks forward to being able to help them out, thanks to her prize.
