Winter storm warning issued for Coquihalla between Hope and Merritt

COQUIHALLA HWY — Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt.
They say that starting Sunday (April 3) they’re predicting light snow, intensifying overnight, and for lower elevations to receive rain.
Environment Canada advises drivers to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve as the weather will make travel difficult and visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
