Clearwater emergency department temporarily closed

CLEARWATER — Interior Health (IH) said in a press release that the emergency department at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital will be closed from from April 3 at 5 a.m. to April 5 at 7 a.m. due to “unforeseen staffing availability”.

IH advises residents to visit the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops if emergency care is needed while the department is closed.

Normally, the Clearwater emergency room is open 24-7.
