TRU board extends improper conduct investigation timeline by three-to-four months

KAMLOOPS — Thompson Rivers University says its investigation into complaints against a pair of senior administrators will not wrap up Thursday (Mar. 31), as originally planned.

The investigation revolves around allegations of improper conduct — including harrassment, bullying and racism — made against Matt Milovick and Larry Phillips. Phillips has since left the university.

In an email to CFJC Today, a university spokesperson says the school’s board of governors needs to interview additional witnesses before wrapping up its probe.

“Since the investigators have a duty to ensure their investigation is robust and comprehensive under the terms of reference they are working with, we expect to receive the investigation report within three to four months,” said the university.
