Provincial COVID-19 hospitalizations drop to 273 Tuesday

VICTORIA — COVID-19 hospitalizations and critical care numbers took a slight dip today (Mar. 29), according to latest data from the provincial health authority.

In Tuesday’s update, BC’s Health Ministry says there are 273 people hospitalized with COVID-19 (down by 15 from Monday), and 46 in intensive care (down by two from Monday).

One new virus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours in the Northern Health region, for an overall total of 2,990.

Additionally, there has been one new health-care facility outbreak at Ayre Manor in Island Health, for a total of seven facilities with ongoing outbreaks.
