Murder charge laid in Lillooet homicide investigation
LILLOOET, B.C. —A 35-year-old man from Lillooet has been charged with murder following a homicide investigation.
BC Prosecution Service charged Justin Ehlert with murder on Saturday (March 19). He’s being held in custody pending a future court date.
The charge stems from when Lillooet RCMP say they and Statlimx Tribal Police responded to the 600-block of Main Street on the night of March 15 where they found a man having his serious injuries treated by BC Ambulance. The man, identified as 25-year-old Leeland Alexander from Lillooet, was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
