Early Tuesday morning power outage in Valleyview

UPDATE (7 a.m.): BC Hydro estimates that power will be fully restored at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The electric utility’s outage map says fewer than five customers are now affected by the outage caused by an equipment failure.

EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — A few hundred customers in Valleyview are without power to start Tuesday (March 22) morning.

BC Hydro’s outage map says 319 customers are affected west of Highland Road, east of Frontage Road, south of Trans Canada Highway, and north of Orchard Drive.

The electric utility says crews are on site for the outage that started at 5:35 a.m. Tuesday, and the outage’s cause is under investigation.
