Organizers are holding another rally to support Ukraine Sunday (March 20) afternoon.

Andrii Lobanov says he expects hundreds of people to gather with him at Riverside Park at 3 p.m. as he shares information about the war and how concerned Kamloops residents can help.

He says the most important things to do are to spread the word about the war, show interest and self-educate, and donate money.

“If you have an ability to donate to really trustworthy funds, that you trust and that a lot of other people trust, donate there,” said Lobanov.

The event will have speakers and live music.

Lobanov said it’s important to stand up for Ukraine to show solidarity against violence in any place.

“It depends on us as an international community to show our stance in solidarity with people of Ukraine to make sure that any other big scale war doesn’t happen in the future,” he said.

“What’s going on in Ukraine, the destiny of the whole free world is residing there. Because if you’re not going to be strong and give the strong response to condemning the Russian aggression, other aggression in other parts of the world can start,” said Lobanov.
