Kamloops man charged in alleged stabbing near Lower Sahali motel

KAMLOOPS — A 39-year-old man from Kamloops remains in custody following his arrest for an alleged stabbing in Lower Sahali Tuesday (March 15) afternoon.

Lewis Gabriel August is charged with one count of aggravated assault. The charge stems from when Kamloops RCMP responded to a motel on the 1300-block of Columbia Street for a report of a man armed with a large knife. As police were en route, an update advised them that someone had been stabbed.
