‘Take it to the Bank!’ Kamloops Food Bank fundraising with online 50/50 tickets

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Food Bank is holding its Second Annual ‘Take it to the Bank’ raffle this spring.

The organization hopes to sell enough 50/50 tickets to fundraise for its operations and give thousands of dollars to one lucky person.

So far, the draw has garnered more than $19,000 in ticket sales and Executive Director Bernadette Siracky says the food bank is hoping to see a push from the community in the coming weeks.

“COVID tested our ability to reinvent fundraising for the Kamloops Food Bank. Last year we really didn’t know what to expect. We created this 50/50 online draw and we raised $111,000 and gave away half of that.”
