NorthPaws sign Kamloops natives Sucro, Austin

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws will have some local talent on the roster when they take the field for the first time this summer.

The West Coast League baseball franchise has announced the signings of Kamloops products Jared Sucro and Nolan Austin for the 2022 season.

Sucro played mostly catcher and middle infield for NCAA Division III Cairn University last year. He expects to be a jack-of-all-trades for the NorthPaws as well.

Austin, a first baseman, plays for NJCAA Division I Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. He is a Kamloops RiverDogs alum.

The NorthPaws’ first season begins May 31 at Norbrock Stadium against the Edmonton Riverhawks.
