Police seeking information from witnesses to summer stabbing incident
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are hoping witnesses to a stabbing incident that took place last summer will now come forward.
In a release today (Mar. 14), Cst. Crystal Evelyn says investigators are reaching out to anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing in downtown Kamloops, but “may have been apprehensive about coming forward at the time.”
The incident took place on June 27, 2021, around 2:40 a.m, when a man arrived at the Battle Street police detachment with several stab wounds, including to his back and shoulder. RCMP say the man was injured while he was at a nearby party on the 600-block of St. Paul Street.
The man had run over to the detachment when he realized he’d been stabbed and officers were able to provide emergency first aid until paramedics arrived and took the man to the hospital.
