Kamloops RCMP investigating after reported parking lot brawl ends in stabbing
KAMLOOPS — Police in Kamloops say three people were taken to hospital this weekend after a parking lot brawl escalated into an assault with a weapon investigation.
In a release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn says around 12:20 a.m on Saturday (Mar. 12), officers attended a pub in the 700-block of Sydney Avenue for a report of people outside who were yelling and injured with stab wounds. Police arrived on scene and found two women and a man with injuries.
“According to the investigation so far, two women began fighting inside the pub, then went outside and continued on in the parking lot,” says Cst. Evelyn. “The altercation escalated and one woman allegedly stabbed the other woman, the woman’s companion and a bystander who tried to break it up.”
The female suspect then left with a man in a white truck.
