Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 down by 20 Friday to 368

VICTORIA — With masks coming off Friday (Mar. 11), the province continues to see a steady downtrend in the number of people being impacted by COVID-19.

In the latest surveillance report, the province’s Ministry of Health says there are 368 people in hospital with the virus, a decrease of 20 from Thursday.

There are 46 patients in intensive care, down by six from Thursday.

Three more people have died of the virus, all in Fraser Health, lifting the provincial death toll to 2,935.

There are 14 ongoing healthcare facility outbreaks in B.C., including Ponderosa Lodge in Kamloops, Williams Lake Seniors Village, Hillside Village in Salmon Arm and Fischer Place in 100 Mile House.
