Woman arrested for shoplifting two days in a row by Kamloops RCMP
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP nabbed a pair of shoplifting suspects red-handed in Lower Sahali Tuesday (Mar. 8).
In a news release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn says an officers was investigating another matter at a grocery store in the 900-block of Columbia Street West at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday. A store employee told the officer a woman had just left with unpaid items.
While Mounties tracked the woman down across the street, employees told them another man, who the woman had been with in the store, was now trying to leave with a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise.
Indeed, the man walked out of the store and directly into the custody of an awaiting officer. Evelyn says the stolen items, worth hundreds of dollars, were returned to the store.
