KAMLOOPS — An impaired driving stop turned into a big drug seizure for Kamloops RCMP.

In a news release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn says officers responded to report of an erratic driver last Sunday (Feb. 27) at 1:45 p.m. The driver was reported to be heading westbound on the Trans Canada Highway from Chase to Kamloops.

An officer pulled the vehicle over near Vicars Road in Valleyview.

The Mountie soon discovered the trailer had been stolen in Alberta. Subsequent search of the vehicle yielded two large Ziploc bags of suspected oxycodone and a large wad of cash. Evelyn says there were four kilograms of pills and $1,800 cash.
