KFR Chief Robinson, Emergency Manager Sutherland to retire

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops has some big vacancies to fill at Kamloops Fire Rescue.

CAO David Trawin confirms both Chief Steve Robinson and Emergency Manager Dan Sutherland have informed the City of their intentions to retire.

Robinson was named chief on February 1, 2021 after serving as interim chief in the wake of Mike Adams’ retirement. Trawin says Robinson’s retirement is effective at the end of April.

Sutherland is a longtime KFR employee and has taken a prominent role in managing emergency operations for the City during recent wildfires.
