One man arrested following midnight break and enter on Mackenzie Avenue

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say one man is in custody after a midnight break-and-enter on Mackenzie Avenue Friday morning (Mar. 4).

Cst. Crystal Evelyn says around 12:30 a.m, officers responded to a report of a person who had smashed a window and was ransacking an office.

While police were headed to the scene, they received an update that the suspect had taken off, and were given a description of him.

“Frontlines officers arrived quickly and located the suspect nearby on the 300-block of Tranquille Road,” states Evelyn. “Items stolen during the break in were recovered nearby.”
