OTTAWA – Canada’s foreign affairs minister is meeting counterparts at NATO headquarters in Brussels today to co-ordinate continuing efforts to impose costs on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.

Mélanie Joly says ministers planned to discuss a Russian attack on a major nuclear power plant in the eastern Ukraine city of Enerhodar.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said late Thursday that he had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the assaults on the Zaporizhzhia power plant.

Trudeau said on Twitter the unacceptable attacks must cease immediately.
