
Winter saw average snowfall in Kamloops – it just stuck around longer: Environment Canada
KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada is debunking the notion that Kamloops had a snowier-than-usual winter.
The forecasting agency measures winter from the beginning of December to the end of February.
Forecaster Derek Lee says an average amount of snow fell on Kamloops during that time – it just stuck around longer because of cool temperatures.
“All the precipitation we received over the Kamloops area for our winter period would just be a normal winter that you would expect, so no surprises there — with the exception of being colder in December than we usually would be,” Lee told CFJC Today. “The precipitation is just what we would expect for our winter months.
