Chase man arrested in alleged armed robbery in Vernon

VERNON — A 55-year-old man from Chase and a 67-year-old man from Creston were arrested after an alleged armed robbery in Vernon Tuesday (March 1) morning.

RCMP say they received a tip from the public Tuesday afternoon after they responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 4300-block of 32nd Street. A man reportedly entered the business, displayed a firearm, and demanded cash before fleeing from the scene.

Police released a photo of a suspect vehicle – an older, light-coloured, four-door Mazda – and found it in East Vernon.
