Vehicle incident knocks out power for 6,000 Shuswap customers: BC Hydro

KAMLOOPS — BC Hydro crews are working to restore power for 6,000 customers in the Shuswap.

According to its website, BC Hydro says power has been off for the customers north of Chase and Salmon Arm since shortly before noon Saturday (Feb. 26) due to a vehicle incident.

DriveBC reported of a vehicle incident west of Sorrento. The Trans Canada Highway is down to single lane alternating traffic at Coubeaux Road.

BC Hydro expects power to return at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
