Merritt RCMP search for theft suspect

MERRITT – Merritt RCMP are investigating the theft of a purse from a Merritt business January 26.

The theft occurred at a business in the 1700 block of Voght Street. Shortly after the robbery, one of the victim’s credit cards was used.

Mounties says the suspect has been identified through surveillance video. The suspect is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, and 200 pounds. He was wearing a grey hoodie, ball cap and dark pants.

He was driving a grey older model Honda Odyssey with damage to the front passenger side.

If you recognize the suspect or the grey Honda Odyssey, the public is being asked to Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262.
