Longtime CSRD CAO Charles Hamilton announces retirement
SALMON ARM, B.C. — The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is looking for a new chief administrative officer (CAO).
Charles Hamilton, who has led the CSRD for more than 13 years, has announced his retirement, effective April 30.
Hamilton began as CAO in December, 2008. In a news release, the district says Hamilton has been a driving force in completing infrastructure, along with “numerous other initiatives, capital projects and key service enhancements that have been undertaken during his tenure.”
“On behalf of the Board, I have tremendous admiration and respect for the work of Mr. Hamilton. He has been an excellent CAO for the organization in this very critical role, and especially in these past couple of years providing strong leadership during a world-wide pandemic,” said CSRD Board Chair Kevin Flynn.
