Former Blazer Sopotyk talks about return to Kamloops, life after snowboarding accident

KAMLOOPS — Former Blazer Kyrell Sopotyk makes his return to the city on Friday night, dropping the puck before the game against Everett.

It was last January when Sopotyk was involved in a snowboarding accident at home in Saskatchewan that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Sopotyk has been adjusting following the life-altering tragedy, trying to stay active in sport by playing wheelchair basketball, golf, tennis, and even racing.
