Kamloops Blazers announce schedule changes as WHL season extended

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have announced a series of schedule changes to make up for games lost because of health restriction updates.

The changes occur to home game dates in March and April and take advantage of a two-week extension to the Western Hockey League season.

The changes are:

Old Date – Monday, March 14th vs. Victoria

New Date – Friday, April 8th vs. Victoria

Old Date – Friday, January 7th vs. Portland

New Date – Saturday, April 9th vs. Portland

Old Date – Tuesday, March 8th vs. PG

New Date – Friday, April 15th vs. PG

Old Date – Wednesday, March 23rd vs. Vancouver

New Date – Saturday, April 16th vs. Vancouver

With many health restrictions reduced, the hockey team will be eligible to reopen Sandman Centre to full capacity for the rescheduled games.

The Western Hockey League playoffs are now scheduled to begin Friday, April 22.
