Man arrested on warrants after being assaulted with a knife

Officers responded to a reported fight on the 1800-block of Highway 5A Friday evening and found a man who had been assaulted with a knife.

RCMP say the victim knew the suspect and was uncooperative with the investigation and refused medical assistance.

Police checks revealed the victim had three warrants out of Kamloops and one out of Revelstoke. He was arrested and released with a court appearance notice.

Stolen running vehicle

A vehicle was reportedly stolen from the 500-block of Notre Dame Drive Saturday morning after its owner left it unlocked and running while he went inside a business.

RCMP say the suspect is described as a male with a darker complexion, and wearing a face mask, black and red hat and black jacket.

The vehicle – a grey 2003 Honda Civic with a black bug detector and B.C. marker KL0 48K – travelled north in the parking lot before its owner lost visual.

Truck driver taken to hospital after colliding with concrete barrier

Officers responded to Victoria Street West and Summit Drive Friday night where an ambulance was en route to a truck driver who was unconscious after a collision.

According to the investigation, the vehicle was travelling west on Summit Drive and drove into a concrete barrier on the west side of the road.
