Pedestrian struck by train in Salmon Arm

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A man suffered serious injuries when he was stuck by a train in Salmon Arm.
RCMP and BC Ambulance were called to the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks in Salmon Arm near Marine Park Drive at around 11:25 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 13).
Mounties say the man had been walking down the tracks towards the train. He stepped off the tracks but not clear of the train, despite the horn being blasted repeatedly.
The man was struck and suffered extensive injuries. He was airlifted to hospital to receive medical care.
