Nine weekend deaths from COVID-19 in Interior; hospitalization down to 803 province-wide
VICTORIA — The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 in B.C. has dipped again over the weekend, standing at 803 as of Monday (Feb. 14).
In a news release, the province’s Ministry of Health says that is a decrease of 43 from Friday. There are 119 people in intensive care, a decrease of 17 over the past three days.
Seventeen more people have died of the virus since Friday, raising the province’s COVID-19 death toll to 2,764. Nine of the 17 deaths took place in Interior Health.
The province has registered 2,701 new positive tests over the past three days, including 676 in Interior Health. There were 1,151 new cases in B.C. on Saturday, 883 on Sunday and 667 on Monday.
