TRU, NVIT students unite as Logan Lake joins BCIHL

LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — Logan Lake is joining the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League.

The league says the Logan Lake Miners will feature full-time student-athletes enrolled at either Thompson Rivers University or Nicola Valley Institute of Technology.

Logan Lake will be the fifth team in the league, along with Simon Fraser, Vancouver Island, University of Victoria and Okanagan.

The team will play at the Logan Lake Recreation Centre starting in October, 2022, and will be coached by Mike Carlsen.

The league will be introduced to the community this weekend with a pair of neutral site games between Okanagan and Vancouver Island.
